I found this little commentary on Slashdot and found it rather ammusing. When I took my first literature course in college I saw this sort of thing going on. Once I figured out that reading literature was really about how cleverly I could craft the most far out determinations and make them plausible, I found it quite enjoyable. It felt like cynical training.
