Wouldn't it be better to try and break the CO2 down into Carbon and O2? I'm not sure how that process would work be it seems to be better than stuffing CO2 into the air our ground.

The other thing that I find amazing are the TONS of CO2 that they're talking about.

But the equipment needed to enable a power plant to bury carbon dioxide remains costly. To bury a ton of carbon dioxide costs more than $100, estimates Ken Humphreys of Battelle laboratories. For a medium-sized power plant, that amounts to hundreds of thousands of dollars a day.

That means a medium sized power plant emits about 1000 tons (tons folks) of CO2 a day. That is insane! What does a ton of CO2 look like? What kind of container does it fit in? Thinking of gases in terms of tons just baffles me. But I'm just a caveman.

Yahoo! I've thought about this very problem when citing online resources in bibliographies. The Internet brings with it a great way for quickly referencing related sources, but because the Internet is so dynamic, those resources could quickly disappear.
I'm thinking there could be a valuable web service where resources could be registered and maintained for long periods of time. This could be of benefit to the scientific community and mankind.

On the Web, Research Work Proves Ephemeral (washingtonpost.com)

Update on that damn Eolas patent. I learned it in school and I thought it was fun, but I certainly would say that I'm not that great at it. I recently read a tutorial to refresh my memory on class templates and function templates. I remember that when I first learned about templates I thought they were a great way to reuse code across classes. Here's an article that shows potential problems that you could run into when you first write that function template.
